OUR CLUB
The Maricopa Lions Club is part of Lions International. Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because we share a core belief--to serve our community.
Our local Lions Club was founded in 2014. We meet approximately twice a month on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM from September through May to volunteer and support a variety of charitable causes and events, including vision screening at the schools as well as various programs to support children, women, and those in need.
Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness, but we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects--including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry, and aiding seniors and the disabled.
Our association is made up of 1.4 million members in 49,000 clubs who bring hands and hearts to the communities we serve in nearly every country on earth. Our Lions and Leos help hundreds of millions of people every year.
