VISION & HEARING SCREENING
Lions volunteer to conduct vision and hearing screenings in local schools (free of charge) and collect used glasses. Lions work toward our mission of providing vision for all. We provide financial support for the Arizona Vision and Hearing Foundation.

FOOD BANK
We support both the Maricopa Food Pantry and F.O.R. (Food, Opportunity and Resources) Maricopa Food Bank which serve hundreds of families weekly. We have a citrus pick annually and deliver hundreds of pounds of the fruit to the food bank and pantry.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES
We support a variety of youth activities in Maricopa, such as Copa A's Baseball, Force 1 Basketball, Boys and Girls Club, Girl's Softball, Camp Tatiyee, Kids Day, and the library summer reading program. Internationally, we offer many programs, including the Peace Poster Contest, Youth Camps and Exchange and Lions Quest.

WOMEN'S SHELTERS
We support Hope Women's Center as well as Against Abuse, in Maricopa that provide a safe haven for survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual harassment, stalking, and human trafficking with a focus on safety and healing so they can get back on their feet.

THERAPY DOGS
Therapy dogs are specially trained dogs who go with their owners to volunteer in settings such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. Therapy dogs and their owners work together as a team to improve the lives of other people. Members of Maricopa Lions have their own certified therapy dogs as part of this program. We also provide financial support for Dogs for Vets.

SHOP WITH A COP
The Lions Club prepares breakfast to kickoff Shop with a Cop each December. The event brings together underprivileged children and families with Police officers who spend time with the children and shop with them. Children are given a gift certificate to purchase Christmas gifts for their family.
