About the event
Annual Shop with a Cop is organized by the Maricopa Police Foundation. Children are nominated by their teachers to participate. During the event, each child is provided with $150 to buy Christmas gifts for themselves and family members. They are paired with a Maricopa Police Department officer who helps keep track of the totals and reach those higher shelves. The Maricopa Lion’s Club prepares and serves free breakfast for everyone who attends.
